There’s a range of factors we need to consider when providing a free quotation for your roofing project. For example size is always a factor, however less obvious considerations also need to be factored in – such as access to your roof and whether you need to walk on it for example. We’d encourage you to contact us to discuss your requirements and all quotes are no obligation too.
As a really rough guide though this can be anything from £70 – £200+ per square metre depending on specification.
GRP stands for ‘Glass Reinforced Plastic’, a hardwearing material made from polyester resin, which is reinforced with chopped strand mat glass fibres. It has a wide range of uses including for roofing due to it’s durability, resistence and low cost when compared to other roofing materials. Importantly it is both fireproof and water resistant making it a great choice for domestic flat roofs.
There are several reasons why customers choose a fibreglass conservatory roof, however this can split into three main benefits. Durability – It’s a strong product which can last years with the right care. Flexibility – GRP can be used on roofs of all shapes and sizes! Cost – It is usually the most cost effective option for your new roof too.
A GRP Fibreglass roof is a premium solution which sees the best results when fitted by a professional roofing installer. Although home kits are available even the smallest gap or crack can lead to a leaking roof and a headache to resolve! All fibreglass roofs should be laid on a new roof deck, with outside trims being next. From here your GRP flat roof can be laid effectively.
Your new roof is a highly durable continuous membrane, meaning that there are no seams or joints when this is installed correctly. As such it’s a fantastic choice for small roofs with multiple angles, right though to large scale commercial roofing projects.
Yes absolutely! We also offer specialist balconies and walkways for higher traffic areas, using a heavier set resin for increased durability. The main consideration here is safety, you should never access your roof alone and especially if it is wet due to weather conditions or during cleaning your roof.
One of the main benefits of your new roof is its increased lifespan when compared to traditional roofing products, particularly for conservatories. With the right care andd maintenance it is possible to see a 50 year lifespan for your roof. We offer a 20 year guarantee on all of our roofing projects too.
Light repairs are very easy when compared to other materials and can be undertaken by a range of roofing contractors. This is usually recommended over trying to repair the roof yourself. In most cases this involves sanding back your roof and reapplying the resin and top coat.
